Welcome. It’s a real gift to meet you.
YOU are amazing and I would love to be your cheerleader and encourager on your journey.
I’m Tina Michele and am grateful for my life and past experiences – including the challenging ones, like my mom’s death when I was 25 years old, infertility, job restructuring and more. Through them, I realized that we’re all unique and that’s a good thing. Yes, it’s good to have role models that spur us on like Mother Theresa or Billy Graham, but this world needs you to be you and me to be me. Both of us rising up to fulfill our purposes in life.
Have you ever felt inadequate? I did. Growing up, as a first generation Canadian, English was my weakest subject – that’s why I studied math and business in university. However, I’m amazed at how hard work can work and perseverance pays off. I poured myself into learning how to improve my communication skills through Toastmasters, and I did a ton of training in music and writing, all to encourage listeners through my singing/songwriting/speaking/writing.
Then I felt called to help support people practically and tangibly one on one. I knew it was time for a career change when, after 20 years working as a researcher, marketer and in leadership for nonprofits and a hospital, my job was restructured. I went back to school and completed my Masters of Divinity in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University, and am now practicing as a Registered Psychotherapist.
Through my struggles I found out that I’m passionate about creating. I love to fill a blank page with melodies, chords, lyrics and stories that touch hearts, help motivate people to connect with God, and make a difference with their waking hours. I also love combining it with meeting people, listening to their journey and encouraging them through prayer, a listening ear and psychotherapy support, if they desire.
This is why I do what I do.
